StormHarvester Limited is in receipt of R&D grant funding from Invest NI for the development of technology facilitating Smart Control of Sewerage Networks. This project which is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth and Jobs Programme 2014-2020 aims to reduce the volume of sewage that overflows from drainage networks into rivers, lakes and the sea.

Brian Moloney, CEO of StormHarvester said “This technology development will allow us to significantly reduce the volume of sewerage discharged by Water Companies into the environment each year”.

“It will expand on work previously completed with Northumbrian Water and will allow us to further develop our systems which can make smart decision and automatically control infrastructure across drainage networks”

“Aging drainage infrastructure, increasing populations and climate change are all contributing to more frequent sewerage spills across almost every city in the world. The solution to this will be smarter infrastructure, equipped with weather forecast and predictive technology which will allow our ageing drainage networks to deal with the increasing sewage and stormwater flows”
